Railway

Materials used in railway infrastructure development and the manufacture of modern rail vehicles must meet stringent standards for durability and fire performance. Partex provides a wide range of identification solutions that meet the latest railway standard, EN 45545.
Cable harnesses in rail vehicles

EN45545 requires the manufacturers of rail vehicles to use halogen-free materials with appropriate certification. Partex has been delivering thermal shrink sleeves and oval profiles, made of halogen-free ZEREX, for many years. In addition, the ProSleeve range includes products designed specifically for this industry. Partex profiles are available as continuous thermal shrink sleeve or in so-called “ladder” format for easy and quick application of the marker onto the wire.

Operating cabinets and panels in rail vehicles

An operator panel is a device used to control the operation of an entire machine. This often consists of several buttons and switches, each of which need to be identified in a legible and durable manner. In electric locomotives, foam backed labels made of high temperature resistant material are used for this purpose.

Railway infrastructure

Railway infrastructure, including power stations and substations, power supply lines and signalling equipment, are often exposed to the elements and subject to all weather conditions. Partex provides engraved plates of stainless steel and thermal-printed markers designed for cables. These solutions guarantee the durability and legibility of markings for many years.
